Like most ladies that have had a child, my ass has grown a bit. And by ass I mean whole self. Sure my heart (and patience mostly) have doubled, but that's not it. What is weird is that when you carry a child things stretch. Although you may have weighed 140 when you got knocked up, 140 doesn't look the same after said kid.
Since I had Scarlet I have gone on numerous "diets" to try to get back to my pre-preg body and although I made back to my pre-preg weight
What I am trying to say is, I have gained 10 pounds since Christmas. 10, guys. In less than a month and a half I have managed to pack em on. And when your 5'6 that shit shows, like a shit show. All of the sudden my normal size 6 pants were tight. So I bought 8's thinking who cares? Damn, I work my ass of, I raise a kid (and a husband) I am ok with an 8.
But it's not about the size or the weight, it's about how you FEEL. And I don't feel good.
Usual laundry list; always tired, always in baggy clothes, always felt "fat," and overall unhappy.
So I started weight watchers again. Wasn't my idea, my sister tweeted about starting again and there is no way in hell I was gonna let her get skinny without me cause TRUST, when that bitch gets skinny, she gets this big. (I mean bitch lovingly, we are each others best cheer leaders)
IF YOU ARE A DUDE YOU MAY NOT WANT TO SEE PICTURES OF MY FAT. STOP READING HERE. IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. I SWEAR.
Ok, so back to it. We started WW a week ago today. I have lost 5.5 pound in 7 days. I wanted to show some real deal holy-shit-field pics of what my body is going through. I already feel thinner (the hips don't lie) but clearly by the pics, I don't look it. BUT, there is no before here so trust me, my pants fit better. I plan (which we all know could falter at any moment) to post a pic weekly. Not for you to make fun of me for, just to see the changes. Lord knows if I didn't post them here they would sit on my SD card until next Christmas when I take pictures again.
See the problem is that kangaroo pouch right there. I am not a marsupial and I am not pregnant (thank god), so it has to go. Oh and I don't exercise. Like ever. So losing weight is the only option.
Love handles, muffin top, I call it like I see it. Gotta go!
Here are a few other ladies you can cheer on (besides sister and I)!
- Sam over at Ruby Turtle! This girl is everything I need to be to lose weight. She runs, eats right, and has family in on the journey as well! This chick has lost almost 65lbs!
- Lori at Pass the Olive Oil. A real life friend who is working to get back her cheerleader bod! She is busting ass (literally) doing triathlons and literally changing her life for the better. Inspiring to say the least.
- And one of my faves! Jess at Wrangling Chaos is bringing us her weekly "State of My Ass" posts to hold her self accountable for #operationsmallerass. She is hilarious, she is real, she has a lot of kids. She is also the reason I got ballsy enough to post a half naked pic of myself on the interwebs. (thanks Jess, not).
That's it for now guys. Have a good weekend, make good choices, and most of all, have fun!
